Thank you. This post was a long time coming. I’ve been working on a post about what’s going on there for a while, but I’m putting it here because PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THIS SHIT.
This shit is REAL yall. I know a lot of people have never even heard of what’s been going on in South Africa for the past several years, but the Boer, who have lived on their current land (which was not occupied before their ancestors arrived, was never even part of a country) for 300 years or more, some of them up to 8 generations now, are being systematically wiped out.
It’s open, government sanctioned, silenced and hidden GENOCIDE, and it is very, very real.
OVER 2000 of the remaining ~34,000 South African Boer farmers have been murdered in their homes.
These are NOT just executions, not merciful bullets to the head while asleep or something. This is full scale, violent, hate-fuelled, pre-meditated, systematic torture and mutilation and murder.
And these are NOT just robberies gone wrong, either. These are not property crimes that happen to escalate when interrupted. This is systematic, fully intentional. The murder scenes are missing no money, no valuables.
The attackers target isolated family farms, specifically those owned by Boer families, enter in parties of 4 or more, and carry out focused personal attacks on the bodies of the people inhabiting the home. They enter armed with guns, machetes, knives, bats, homemade maces, and often signal jammers, wire clippers, and other tools to cut off any hope of communication, as well. And while they occasionally grab valuables on their way out, it’s surprisingly increasingly rare that anything is missing from the home. That is clearly not the purpose of the attack; they wait until people are in the home and never just quietly burgle and escape.
They torture and mutilate and slaughter the people – sometimes sustaining the attacks for several hours, even multiple days – and then they leave. The purpose is to inflict as much terror, as much pain, as much torture, as much cruelty as possible, then exterminate.
They gang rape babies and childrento death. YES, they absolutely DO that. Not just ‘that happened once or twice’ but THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Tiny babies, like 3-4 years old, are GANG RAPED, BURNED ALIVE if they survive, CRUCIFIED on their own kitchen table, in front of their gurgling, bleeding, dying mommy and daddy. One particular 2 year old baby survived at least one gun shot wound and managed to drag herself to her parent’s bedroom to die next to her mother’s mutilated corpse.
They dismember fathers in front of their families, but leave them alive to watch the torture and murder of their wife and children. They burn people alive.
South African Boer farmers now live, isolated, behind tall electrified fences, with security alarms everywhere, surrounded by guard dogs, with heavy bars on their windows and doors, with reinforced walls and doors, with iron gates in their own bedrooms, with guns under their pillows, and still they don’t feel safe. Still they are not safe.
This IS happening, at shocking rates. It’s a weekly occurrence at the very least, but it’s escalating wildly, and most say it has now become DAILY. There is not one single white farmer in South Africa who has not lost somebody they know to brutal racist violence.
A white person South Africa is 1,370% (ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY PERCENT, which is no less than THIRTEEN TIMES) MORE LIKELY TO BE MURDERED BY A BLACK SOUTH AFRICAN than any American is to ever be murdered. This is no coincidence, this is not accident, this is state sanctioned genocide, and it’s fucking happening right now.
This is ABSOLUTELY government sanctioned, government encouraged, government approved. Over the past 18 months, no less than 7 senior black South African politicians promised white South Africans that a civil war is on its way. The authorities look the other way and pretend these murders are simply not happening, AT BEST, and openly advocate and encourage it, all the way to the very top, at worst. As a matter of fact, they’re even making laws to legalize stripping white people of their ancestral homes – not restricted to farmland, no; ALL property owned by any white people is subject to violent, forcible confiscation, without any compensation whatsoever.
And if you think this is about people who want their land back – who want to take and use the farmland that was “stolen” from their ancestors – well, think again. In almost every single case – some 90+% – where people are offered the farm (as an estate, including all properties therein) as settlement, they refuse. This is not about wanting land, it’s simply about wanting to eradicate white farmers. What South Africans will do when nobody is producing any food, I don’t know, but their purpose now is NOT to “seize the means of [food] production” as some claim, as clearly demonstrated by the fact that, when given the opportunity to do exactly that, almost nobody ever does.
Look at this shit. Never again MY ASS. This is the website “united to end genocide” and they don’t even have South African Boer farmers (or, frankly, white people) on their website as “at risk” much less in their “ongoing” category! What kind of bullshit is this?
Are you curious why you’ve never heard about the fact that the South African government is legalizing and planning to enforce the total confiscation of all white citizens’ property without compensation? Are you curious how it’s possible that such massive amounts of targeted, race-based murder could be kept so quiet? It is presented by Simon Roche, to many the face of the genocide. He is one of the most outspoken Boer, desperately trying to call attention to the living hell his world has become.
Simon is a former MP with the ANC, South Africa’s leading post-apartheid party, and is now the Head of Office with the Suidlanders, the world’s largest non-state civil defense organization. It is all perfectly legal and above the board, according to United Nations laws. Nobody is doing anything illegal or untoward by asking for financial (or other) support to defend themselves from genocide and an absolutely imminent civil war.
The most heartbreaking fucking thing I’ve just about ever seen in my entire life is this crowdfunding page. Here is a man begging for his life, his friends’ lives, the lives of his children, begging to be able to keep his ancestral home – his ONLY home – which his parents and grandparents broke their backs to build… and there are only a handful of donations. People give more, and give more readily, to silly, meaningless bullshit like fanfictions and some dude who wants to make potato salad as a fucking joke.
But this is serious, and it’s real.
There are thousands of lives on the line here, and hundreds of thousands of people’s livelihoods and rightful worldly belongings, as well. But it’s as if nobody cares.
It’s NOT “racist” to support the Suidlanders just because they are white, just because their murderers are black, so for fuck’s sake don’t go thinking that. You’re not being a dick. It’s a very valid point, and I say that as a massive animal lover (soothing a huge dog terrified of thunder on my lap right this second!) myself.
It’s REALLY sad, isn’t it? Like I lamented up there somewhere, people dropped shit tons of money on a fucking potato salad joke on kickstarter, but thousands of lives? A fuel fund to evacuate the elderly, infirm, women and children, and innocent non-combatants from an imminent civil war promised to them by their own government?!? Psh, not worth it, I guess.

As a person who has lived in South Africa his whole life this post seems a bit too much like fear mongering.
I don’t think a lot of you know the actual political power held by the people you mention within this post.
Not that I’m saying its all fake but it paints a picture that the state of South Africa is far worse than it actually is.
If it’s not fake then it paints an accurate picture of how bad it is. If it’s fake, provide evidence.
Never forget to bring this up when someone tries to defend IGNs credibility.
They scored a literal dumpster fire higher then the MLP movie.
The mlp movie isn’t some brilliant work of art, but it’s a fundamentally competent production. The emoji movie is nothing. This is outrageous.
MLP is a feel-good movie.
It’s the sort of thing you watch and get a warm and fuzzy nostalgic high off how much it pays tribute 80s and 90s animation where the roots of MLP are.
Not ground breaking but a solid 8/10 at the least and a blast to sit down and enjoy, especially with the high-quality animation and music.
It was also one of our last bastions of hope regarding 2D animated mainstream movies. It was fucking *gorgeous* with that animation and movement.
What did The Emoji Movie offer us? Nothing. Nothing original, insightful, or even visually interesting.

The movie was gorgeous and will forever respect it had the balls to use more traditional style 2D animation at a time when full CGI still rules big-budget animation.
Pinkie’s cuteness alone makes me want to finally see it.
They did a beautiful bringing out her character with expressions that are somehow both over-the-top and cute at the same time
Personally Tempest Shadow’s performance/animation just sold this movie for me.
I was told that the models for this movies had a RIDICULOUS amount of frames for each turn around. Rather than just sliding the features around on the face to give the illusion of 3 dimentions the characters had individual face shapes to flow between to make the turns SUPER smooth on every angle.
Having seen the movie I believe this 100%. Was it overkill? Possibly, but damn it looked GOOD.
It’s funny. I remember Lauren Faust one time commenting about how media targeted specifically for women or young girls are criticized more harshly than those made for boys. And here we are.
Also of note, it’s unknown officially what the exact budget for the film was but it’s said to be around 8 to 30 million dollars, the usual minimum budget for a theatrical animated feature these days is around 50 million to 65 million dollars. The fact that they managed to make the movie look this good on such a small budget is an amazing accomplishment (also the animators worked overtime through 7 day weeks towards the end of production to get the film finished on time).
There’s also the fact that while the film does include celebrities voicing the newer characters, the main cast from the show have all their original voice actresses/actors from the TV series, something that is extremely rare for big screen cartoon adaptations as they usually just recast the main characters.
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion and that this film isn’t perfect, but come on! It at least deserves more respect than The Emoji Movie!
