woah, woah, woah, ladies! i’m a princess too

Dios mio, I want to die

great now i have cancer because that was not the story of ANY of them. at all.

But I mean, Rapunzel said “Do people ASSUME” before all that. I thought that was a take that towards the ones who always miss the point of Disney princesses and say that they’re bad role models cause they “needed a man.”

“assume” is the key word that so many people seem to overlook here

Yeah I thought that was more of a jab at the radfem and feminist types that consider Disney princesses to be bad role models for girls because of reliance on men to solve their problems rather than a jab at men specifically because Disney creates well developed male characters as well.

i love how you guys talk shit about cartoon style and animation but what the fuck is with this phineas and ferb obsession, The Ugliest Childrens Show Ever Animated.

Fun fact: In one interview the creators mentioned that one reason everyone’s heads are shaped like really recognizable shapes (Candace is the letter p, Phineas is obviously just a triangle) is so its way easier for younger kids to draw them. Not being able to to draw your favorite characters when you’re little can be really frustrating and kind of put you off drawing all together.

“Any Armies here?” Armies taking over the world.

Aka don’t annoy non kpop fans with kpop…

You know what seriously pisses me off? That no matter what video you watch on YouTube, sooner or later you’ll stumble upon kpop fans spamming the comments with kpop even tho the video doesn’t have anything to do with kpop. Example: I just watched a random video of a German YouTuber, and the comments are full of Armies talking about bbmas and the comeback.

Guys, I get that you love Kpop/BTS but srly…what does Kpop have to do with all the videos you’re commenting on? Nothing. I don’t want to attack anyone here, and I don’t say that it’s only Army fandom, but I personally only see Armies, everywhere, at anytime, and therefore will talk about them in the following. Ofc not all Armies are like that, obviously it’s only a part of the fandom acting like that. Just as in all others Fandoms.

“Any Armies here?”

Why would anyone be interested in that when you watch a let’s play video or something? Why would you annoy anyone with things they don’t have any clue about? Don’t you see that people start to hate on groups because of their annoying fandoms??? If the video is related to kpop, then sure. Feel free to talk about your faves. But also here, why commenting under XY’s MV (which has nothing to do with BTS) “Any Armies here?”? That simply doesn’t make any sense to me. Maybe I just don’t understand it, feel free to explain the sense of this to me.

And more importantly, why do you start wars all the time??? Just now I saw a huge discussion about if “BTS is Kpop” or “Kpop is BTS” in the comments section of a not-kpop related video. This is getting out of hand.

Listen, I’m not hating on BTS. I truly like them. They were the first group I stanned back then. But I’m tired of big parts of the fandom. It feels like many of them don’t accept that other people like other groups. That other people might not even like Kpop. Also many don’t accept that Kpop is not BTS. There are so many more hardworking groups in Kpop, BTS is only one of them.

It’s simply super disrespectful saying that BTS is the most important Kpop group or sth, because dudes… 1. Everyone has different preferences. 2. Don’t you dare forgetting about the older generation groups, without them the “new” groups wouldn’t even exist.

I don’t know why you have this urge to spam people with your faves. But I’m so tired of it. It’s really sad to say but somehow the fandom made me distance myself from BTS and Armies. I still like the group and their music, because it’s not their fault that the fandom is escalating so much. I just could never call myself an Army. There happened too much shitty stuff with which I don’t want to be involved with.

But remember, this isn’t only about Armies, this is about everyone who forces Kpop on non-kpop fans. I mean, non Kpop Fans also don’t spam the comments with “Any Fall Out Boy Fans here” or sth? Imagine everyone talking about their favourite bands/shows/whatever in any comment sections: “Any Teen Wolf fans here?”, “Any Game of Thrones fans here?”, “Any Assassin’s Creed fans here?”. No one does this. You’re not that special that you have to shove your “extraordinary” taste in music/overflowing love for a band in everyone’s face.

[Remember, this reflects my opinion. I’m already preparing for a shitstorm here, but as always, if you have to tell me sth, then text me. I’m always ready for discussions, different opinions and views. So feel free to contact me…Instead of secretly hating on me.]

Writers: Bad people are still people with their own problems and emotions, even when they cause problems and distress and hurt other people.

Tumblr Gremlins: Problematic. Blocked.

Twitter “Purists”: No this character is the base end goals personified, and that is all the character needs to be, and attempts to make them human is to destroy the character.

Writers: This is a good person, who makes mistakes caused by grief or anger, but they try to do their best to live their life by a strong moral code, be heroic and make up for what they’ve done wrong.

Tumblr: No, if this character isn’t perfect 115% of the time, they’re a trash can. Problematic. Blocked.

hikarihime09:

I’m so done

Ok. Two things.

1) I’m tired of articles that only talk about numbers instead of actual music. Since BTS release a new album the only thing I have seen is about “new records” again and again. It seems that the ONLY important thing is YouTube views and breaking records. And I’m not just talking about BTS I’m talking about the KPOP in general. I mean, I know is important but isn’t the MOST important. Stop chasing numbers. Seems like the quality of the song is dictated for the number of fans and views than the actual music, the lyrics, the meaning and the feels that they want to transmit. I wish I could see more articles about this instead.

And this goes for all the groups in the current era not just BTS. If a group have more views than other that doesn’t mean that they’re better or worse. There’s a lot of amazing singers and groups so please don’t underestimate them just for the number of views and appreciate the music for what it is.

2) And I’m also tired of the fact that you can’t give you opinion if it’s different from the rest. Because if you do (even if you are respectful) you get insulted.

I’m ARMY. I have seen ARMYs that didn’t like the new album and just because of that, they receive a lot of hate. I can’t get used to it either. I tried. But I couldn’t. I also didn’t like DNA era. But why is that bad?

“If you don’t like their song then you’re not a true fan”

That’s is bullshit.

Being a fan of a group doesn’t mean that you have to love all their songs, all they do. No, it’s not an obligation. It’s fine if a song isn’t your style and you don’t like it. That doesn’t mean that your don’t support them or that you do not love them. It’s just an opinion for God’s sake. RESPECT.

And this applies to all kpop’s groups. If you think that the songs of your fav group are amazing, pure art, or whatever, that’s okay. But if someone have a different opinion, don’t attack them. Don’t try to impose your opinion. Respect them.

unpopularkpop-opinions:

As much as I love BTS and being an ARMY, it frustrates me sometimes (read: all the time) how so many new kpop fans get into BTS and then refuse to be open to criticism or expanding their horizons in terms of new groups. It’s aggravating that so many new ARMYs just decide they want to be stubborn and outright rude to other fans/groups because they can’t get off their high horse.

“pink diamond faking her death caused a war which made countless of gems get shattered! ”

Zircon said that rose quartz was a known treat for 700 years before the shattering. Her faking her death was something she thought was going to end this war, not to start it.

“why didn’t she try to change things from the inside? Why didn’t she try to convince the other diamonds?”

We saw her trying to convince them to leave Earth in the dream flashback in “can’t go back”. It didn’t work. Every time we saw pink trying to convince the other diamonds to do something they refused to listen and instead treated her like a child despite the fact that gems born adults. She thought that starting a rebellion would make them decide to leave Earth and when that didn’t work, she came up with the fake death solution. As far as she knew, the diamonds didn’t care about her and won’t miss her. There was no way she could have predict the curroption, which she tried to cure countless times later.

“Rose never really cared for Pearl, she just used her for her own selfish purposes”

Pink Diamond owned Pearl. She was born into a society where Pearls are serevent and their only purpose was to obey higher authorities. But despite that gems aren’t supposed to change, she meneged to unlearn this entire message she got since birth and instead treated Pearl as her equal and even fought so Pearl and other gems can live freely on Earth. In Pearl’s homogram flashback in “Rose’s scabbard” she gave her the choice to join her and also warned her about the risks, she didn’t want Pearl to sacrifice herself for her like she did in the war and even her “last (terrible) order as a diamond” was for her and Pearl to leave this power imbalance behind them.

Everything Rose did was what she thought would help other gems the most but had consequences far worst than she could have ever imagined. She never stopped regretting it, she even tried to come clean to Greg.

A lot of suffering was caused from her actions but she wasn’t the villan, just a flawed person who tried their best but messed up badly.

THANK YOU!

Rantings of a Confused, Frustrated Asexual Concerning Tumblr’s Unhealthy Fixation on the Sexualities of Kpop Idols

Seriously, why is tumblr so desperate for their idols to be Not Straight™? Like seriously, why, I am baffled by this constant projection and over-analysis of every little thing idols like, say, or do
(i.e. “X idol said they liked Y person’s music! I, an LGBT Person, like Y person’s music too! Therefore X idol must also be LGBT!!”)

to build up to the ultimate conclusion that they’re “gay” and thus Relatable. As if people only become relatable when they’re exactly the same as you.

There’s also the fact that people from different countries cultures
sometimes have far less of a stigma surrounding certain fashion choices
and physical contact than we here in the west do to consider. Just
because only significant others hold hands in western countries, for instance, doesn’t
mean hand-holding is solely a thing one does when one is romantically
interested in someone in other countries where physical affection between friends and family members is much more normal and accepted. And that’s just one small aspect of differences between cultures. Bottom line, looking at the entire world only through one’s
own cultural lens is extremely limiting and often-times misleading.

And sure, a few idols might actually be LGBT, it’s basic math. Until someone comes out and says that they are, though, like Hansol from ToppDogg or Holland have, I think it’s extremely rude to speculate so much about real people’s private sex lives just to validate your ships or your own obsessive need to see yourself everywhere you look. And news flash, tumblr; most people are straight. That’s also basic math. As an asexual person myself, I don’t go around assuming everyone I even remotely identify with is asexual simply because we have similar interests, tastes, or character traits, because odds are highly stacked against me that they’re not. And I really don’t care, either. You know why? Because ultimately, it shouldn’t matter. Sexuality should not be the sole reason someone is interesting, valid, or worth supporting, and if you think it is, that says way more about you than it does about anyone else.
