every now and then tumblr reminds me that my dad asked for a furry pic for his 57th birthday
might as well tell the story behind that
so, my dad’s birthday is coming up, and since he doesn’t text, ever (he’s luddite that way), i text my mom: “hey, can you ask dad would like for his birthday?”
her response is “well he really likes your animals, why don’t you draw (our real-life dog) in that style?”
now bear in mind my mom doesn’t getwhat i do, or my dad for that matter, so i figure that she doesn’t understand the ramifications of that suggestion. she doesn’t quite see how slapping two hands and a pair of breasts on our real-life dog would be fucking weird.but note also that it was a suggestion that she came up with, not him, so i reply:
“can you just ask him yourself”
she responds “i was just giving you an idea, why don’t you ask him”
“he never texts”
“i will tell him to text you”
and that brings us to
so the lesson is, my mom knows my dad’s tastes much better than i do
i for one wholeheartedly support OP’s dad’s star fox OC
This is my girl! Her name is Albatross! She’s a 16-year-old paladin who was raised by ghosts on a haunted island. Her favorite mother is a halfling, she LOVES bling, and she speaks in a weird archaic accent because all her parents have been dead for centuries. She is proficient in GHOSTS and being BIG.
Oh btw Yzma is a golden example of a likeable non sympathetic villain. The audience knows she is totally evil and pretty much un redeemable but the writers and character designers did such an excellent job of making her so likeable and visually appealing A fucking plus
Kronks redemption arc has yet to be rivaled nothing can ever fucking compare.
OP did u just fucking call Yzma “visually appealing”?????
In terms of character design Yzma is visually appealing, the artists did a great job picking out colours and perfecting her silhouette. Using those design principles, they created an expressive villain that is fun to watch on screen.
op is absolutely right in that observation, good character design is about good use of shapes, curves and angles. Yzma is a fantastic example of that.
A d we can’t sideline Eartha Kitt for literally breathing life into her character to the point of perfection. Yzma was really was an exemplary villain.
