poor people: capitalism is a broken system

some person who hasnt struggled financially ever in their life: well, its worked pretty well for me personally so obviously you dont know what youre talking about

A-yup

192,000 deeply impoverished people: Today capitalism helped get me clothes and food and out of desperate inhumane conditions!

American idiots who have a hard time affording internet on their smartphones: This is clearly a failed thing because it hasn’t worked for me personally, so obviously you don’t know what you’re talking about

Isn’t communism, in the west, stereotypically associated with middle to upper class young people who’ve never lived in a communist country? Don’t actual former commies tend to go “no, it was horrible”?

People living in communist countries: We have no food, our government is corrupt and our economy is in shambles.

Upper-middle-class white urbanite communist who has capitalism to thank for all the luxuries they enjoy every day: Uhm, well, that doesn’t count because I say so. Also capitalism is bad.

Meanwhile, over in the MCU;

The MCU has more manservice than fanservice.

Speaking of men of color….

Let’s talk about how after Black Panther came out Winston Duke, the man playing M’Baku, was hit with sexualized tweets and messages from women.

But every time there is a butt shot of a woman in the MCU we get a fresh flood of two bit gender thinkers writing articles about how women are sexualized as if it only happens to them.

Even Quicksilver. They made his suit really tight.

I also found a quiz from Buzzfeed about which man from Black Panther you should hook up with, so….

Don’t forget that MCU’s Peter Parker is 15. Ew.

Well, sure, but at least that scene has a joke purpose. To show him going “I’m not a superhero!” and then immediately reveal his muscles.

The fact that it functions as fanservice is technically incidental.

People will only find fault in the outfit of one of these people.

Weird how you can have any amount of manservice short of a guy’s actual dick being on screen but it’s either got some in-universe reason for existing that totally negates any fanservice value, or else it’s a “male power fantasy” and any man would absolutely dress like that if they could get away with it socially, but a woman show even the slightest titillation to her and any attempt to explain why it exists is shot down as “just an excuse” and degrading her to a mere object.

Funny how that works.
