Normalization of casual emotional parental abuse is so funny
It’s a cutesy, ANIMATED NOT REAL, joke.
If this is the abuse you’re worried about, I wouldn’t be too worried.
Tumblr: “We’re tired of black dads being portrayed as absentee fathers or thugs! Give us some real wholesome black dads who love their kids and aren’t afraid to show it!”
Movie: “Ok, how about this movie with a black Dad who’s a hard-working police officer who loves and supports his family. We’ll even throw in a cute little scene where he playfully embarrasses his son in the harmless way that most loving parents do.”
“Michelangelo is a box shell turtle. He can pull all of his limbs fully inside his shell. He’s the eternal optimist. Mikey’s an artist, he’s going to tag up his shell, tag the lair up…He’s going to be our version of Banksy.”
A busker plays music for a blind autistic girl sitting in a wheelchair. She’s being allowed to stim (flapping and rubbing her shirt) and respond to the music her own natural way. The busker places her hand on the guitar to let her see what is creating the music, and she smiles as he sings to her.
They made a connection.
That is autism acceptance.
Take note. Many autistic people will open up to you like a flower if you gently connect with them in ways that work for them instead of forcing them to connect with you in ways that only work for you.
I hope that sweet kid grows up to be a musician or artist! 🙂
The final print I made for FanX in Salt Lake City! This time it’s of one of my all time favorite games, The Last Guardian. I’m a sucker for forbidden friendships and this was an entire game based on that, and boy it’s legit one of the most beautiful games I’ve played. Trico’s AI astounds me; he feels alive throughout the entirety of the game and the affection and trust between him and the boy was sweet to see grow. Also I cried like a baby during the end, rip. ;_;
I’m really proud of the last few pieces of art I’ve done thus far, including this one! I feel like I’m getting a better grip on composition. uwu
